“The Art of Motion” derives by a twenty years old experience of Fabiano Manzan as well "motion control system integrator" and "packaging solution provider" in so-called “packaging valley” of Bologna (Italy).
The site proposes to give some indications on specific software applications of packaging fruit of experiences on packaging machines as well: wrapper, case packer, bundler, robot, pick & place,top loader, gantry, infeed unit and flow pack in various fields: pharmaceutical, tissue, food, cosmetic and others.
These applications have been developed for some leader companies as well: Tecnomeccanica, Acma G.D, Gima, General System Pack, Swisspack Engineering, Martini Weighing & Packaging Machines, Jointeck, GDM, Perdigao, Nuova Dizma, K.P.L. To the section "Applications" of this site you can find some description of applications of motion control in the packaging field as well :

Always in that section, to such intention a has been developed an algorithm to calculate the number of smart belts that a infeed unit needs to phasing the product into a boxes chain.
With the introduction of the "motion/logic control" of third generation the OEM have had the possibility to avoid the PLC and further, all the motion control producers as well: Rockwell Automation, Elau, Siemens; Indramat, B&R and so on) adopted a unique programming platform (IEC61131 and followings) that allows the trasportability of a function and/or function block from one motion control to another one in a very short time without rewrite the entire application program.
